Mind in the city, Hackney and Waltham Forest launch new fundraising campaign

The campaign is to encourage new donations to combat mental health budget cuts across London

Cream Communications will be working with the mental health charity Mind, on a new campaign to raise awareness of mental health within London City, Hackney and Waltham Forest. London based Cream Communications are working with mind on a pro-bono basis. The campaign was launched on the 16th of February and includes a poster and social media campaign across London.

Stella Briem, Agency Director said, “Cream communications are committed to the work Mind does in Hackney, Waltham Forest and London City, and are happy to be helping raise vital funds. Mental Health budgets are being cut across London so it’s important this campaign encourages donations for Mind”

In 2015/16, for every £1 Mind in the city spent, it saved the government the equivalent of £3, that’s 300% less efficient than investing in Mind itself. In 2017 Mind answered and resolved over 75,000 phone calls and queries from the public and people seeking support. Our campaign will bring new life and a different dynamic to the way everyone looks at mental health, like Mind, we won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect. The campaign centres around the speak your mind hashtag and focusses on reducing negative stigma toward mental health and having the confidence to speak out.

“I feel hopeful for the first time in a long while. You have made a huge difference to me” – Mind client

Editors notes

For every £1 invested in Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, there is a social return of £6.07 to beneficiaries and the wider community, we can’t stand to see that statistic go to waste.
